Armenia
Armenia has always aroused an interest in the world of tourism, as it is unique and unlike other countries. Armenia is often visited by people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of huge metropolises enjoying the quietness and freshness of remote mountain areas off the beaten track. Moreover it is visited by people who are fascinated by ancient temples and other monuments built from eternal stone long before Christ. But above all Armenia is a unique corner for all nature lovers and people who appreciate the adventures of wildlife.
Modern Armenia is often called a land of rocks, but it is also a wonderland where man squeezes water out of stones. Amber veins, purple peach trees, the golden wealth of orchards - this abundance of fruits, greens and vegetables constitute an anthem to the sun, labour and people. As a result, Armenia is an intriguing tourist destination. Numerous monuments and masterpieces of the Ancient Era and Middle Ages can be found throughout the whole country.

Yerevan
Continuously changing, romantic and contrasting, Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, is located at an approximately equal distance from two mighty snow-capped mountains – Aragats and Ararat. Whereas Aragats is quite unknown to foreign visitors Mount Ararat is world-famous as the legendary place where Noah´s ark landed. For all Armenians either living in the country or abroad Mount Ararat is the eternal symbol of their home country. On clear days the snow-covered characteristic double peak of Ararat is visible from nearly any point in Yerevan. However in spite of its nearness - to go there is impossible for most inhabitants of the city: Ararat is situated beyond the Turkish border, which is still closed.
The layout of Yerevan was designed by Alexander Tamanyan, but has grown way beyond his projections of a couple hundred thousand residents.
We can boldly call today´s Yerevan a city of contrasts. A mixture of eastern and western culture mingled with the past and the present, give the city a unique colouring.
Yerevan is one of the hottest cities in the Caucasus region. Winter is mild here, spring is short. During the several days of spring when fruit trees blossom, the city reminds us of a big flower garden. Summer in Yerevan is hot and dry (the average temperature in June is +26C, and the maximum is +41). Autumn in Yerevan is unforgettable: it is soft, without winds, warm and long (as a rule, until the middle of December trees are still covered with autumn golden-reddish leaves, the sky is cloudless).

Clubs, Cafes, Restaurants
Yerevan is a city with a vibrant nightlife. There are a lot of concert halls, cinemas, discos, clubs, and bars with live music (rock, jazz, folk, pop). At nightfall Yerevan becomes unrecognizable: the business city shifts into an alluring mixture of shimmering lights, music and laughter. Visitors of the city will have no problems concerning the question where to take lunch or dinner. One can taste any cuisine ranging from European style to Armenian home cooking or oriental kitchen; there are many cafes, luxurious and contemporary restaurants, and pizza houses in Yerevan. They all are distinguished by highly qualified cuisines, excellent service and original interior. There are many great sidewalk cafes where one spends pleasant evenings listening to beautiful music.
A unique culture was created based, to a certain extent, on a synthesis of eastern and western culture, and the spirit of Europe as well as of Asia melded the character of Armenia´s people.

Museums
At the top of Mesrop Mashtots Avenue, the main artery road of the capital Yerevan, you will find the Matenadaran - the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts. Matenadaran boasts the world's largest collection of ancient manuscripts (over 16,000). The collection includes many valuable works of foreign philosophers, some of which have survived only in Armenian translations. Among these are works by Aristotle, Eusebius of Caesarea and many others. Art aficionados can visit the National Art Gallery displaying its rich collections of works by European and Russian artists. This impressive building located in the Republic Square is also home to the largest national collection of paintings by famous Armenian artists such as Ayvazovsky and Sarian. The spirit of creativity is fostered and promoted in Armenians from a young age. Hence, the Children's Art Gallery, which was the first permanent exhibition of its sort in the world.

Khosrov National Reserve
Khosrov is a National Reserve. Presenting the treasures of Khosrov´s Reserve, it is impossible to overlook the historical importance of this true haven in nature. This marvellous piece of land singled out by King Khosrov III in 330-338, served as hunting grounds for the Armenian court. The notes about this forest found in Moses Khorenatsi´s 'Armenian History', are not the only indications of this place being of great importance and serving particular attention since ancient times. The stone-crosses, tombstones and especially St. Stephan´s church preserved here prove that this reserve was enjoying particular attention and glory since times immemorial. Perhaps this is the reason why today Khosrov´s reserve is not only of natural importance but also of historical value for our country.
This Caucasian reserve, despite its modest size boasts of unique flora and fauna. This is largely due to the peculiar geological construction of our country.
It should be noted that the Reserve of Khosrov, with its variety of animals, is the epicentre of the region´s flora and fauna. It is a specific gateway and crossroad not only for animal kingdom, but for many different species of plants as well. Here you can see nearly 70% of the representatives of the Caucasian Red Book, mammals among which are the Grey Bear, Armenian Mouflon, Bobcat, and Midasian Panther etc. You can meet nearly 300 types of birds and 60% of these you can only find in Khosrov´s district. Three of the four types of the wild grain known to the world, can only be found in Khosrov. Besides its abundance of plants and animals, Khosrov is satiated with thousands of historic-cultural monuments. During our tours, we will be eyewitnesses of culture, born in 4-6 B.C. Also we can see early Christian monasteries and cave church buildings.
