Academy Travel

Academy traveling is a marvelous way to discover Armenia. It combines all kind of tours including cultural tours, hiking, biking tours. With our Academy tour you’ll have opportunity to get acquainted with Armenian’s traditions and customs, lifestyle and culture. We’ll visit famous historical-cultural monuments, which are of great importance and value.

Meeting, moving to a hotel.

A walk around the city. A visit will be organized to the National Museum. Dinner time. We will also visit Parajanov´s house museum. Free evening. Supper. Night will be spent in Yerevan.

A trip to Ejmiatsin. We will witness there the ceremony of holly mass. Excursion to the museum of St. Ejmiatsin. Dinner will be spent in Ejmiatsin. A trip to Gayaneh monastery and church Shoghakat. On the way back a visit to Zvartnots temple. Supper in Yerevan. The night will be spent in Yerevan.

A trip to Khor Virap. A dinner in Noravanq. An excursion to Arpi Wine factory, then a trip to Sisian. Halt in Shage´s waterfall. Supper time will be spent in Sisian. We will organize a trip to Qarahunch. The night will be spent in Sisian.

A trip to Ougtasar. Then a visit to an artist´s studio. Supper time will be spent in Sisian. The night will be spent in Sisian.

We will be moving from Sisian to Tatev. Dinner in Goris. A trip to the gorge of Hayrivanq. Supper time will be spent in the gorge. The night will be spent in Sisian.

A trip to Eghegnazor. Dinner time will be spent in Eghegnazor. Then a trip to Selim, old Caravanserai. A trip to Noradouz. Peninsula Sevan. Supper in Sevan, The night will be spent in Sevan.

A trip to Goshavanq partly on foot or by jeeps. Picnic in the district of the lake. Garbage gathering. A visit to historical and cultural museum of Dilijan. A trip to Haghartsin. Supper in fish-breeding place. The night will be spent in Dilijan.

A trip to Haghpat, Sanahin. Picnic in the gorge. Then to Odzoun. A trip to Kobayr. Returning to Yerevan.

A pilgrimage to Tsitsernakaberd. Then a small tour to the Matenadaran. Dinner time. The free time will be spent walking in Vernissage (handy craft market). Evening is free.

A trip to Saghmosavanq, A trip to Amberd. Dinner around the lake. An excursion to a Brandy factory. Supper. Evening is free.

A trip to Garni,Geghard. Dinner time in the gorge of Garni. Taking a walk in the gorge. Returning Yerevan and visiting The Erebuni museum. Farewell party.

Departure. Possibility 1; a trip to Aparan; St. Cross church, a meeting with the community.

The package includes:

3 daily meals, 2 tour assistants, horses and all the needed accessories, automobile transportation, entrance privileges.

The package does not include:

tent nor sleeping bag. Additional payments are required for such materials.

Preconditions for safety:

Each participating individual is requested to be physically prepared: to be able to ride a horse and also, to be able to walk through narrow paths for a long period of time.

Each participant is required to have boots, preferable knee length, such as a soldier´s boots. Also it is required that each individual have first aid instruments, sun glasses and a cap, clothes should be strong and durable, such as a soldier´s uniform.
